Description

The project was developed by Capital Power GP Holdings and is currently owned by Capital Power with a stake of 100%.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 22,000 households. The project cost is $340m.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in November 2013.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Ontario Power Authority under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.144kWh for a period of 20 years.

Contractors Involved

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 58 units of V90-1.8 MW turbines, each with 1.8MW nameplate capacity.
