The project is currently owned by OMV Petrom.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant that is used for Baseload. The fuel is procured from Transgaz S.A.
The project cost is $813.95m.

Contractors Involved
GE Power and Hyundai Engineering were selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 2 units of 9F.05 gas turbines, each with 290MW nameplate capacity.
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 1 unit of D11 steam turbine with 310MW nameplate capacity.
GE Power supplied 330H Hydrogen Cooled electric generator for the project.
Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam supplied steam boiler for the project.
GE Power is the O&M contractor for thermal power project.
