North America power industry tenders in November 2019: The US leads activity
Looking at tenders by country, the US led the activity in November 2019 with 91 tenders and a share of 81.3%, up 6.3% over the previous month and down 8% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Canada with 21 tenders and a share of 18.8%.
Looking at the last 12-month average, the US held the top spot with 99 tenders, followed by Canada with 36.

Thermal is top technology area for tenders in November 2019
Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, thermal accounted for the largest proportion with 49 tenders and an 81.7% share, followed by solar with eight tenders and a 13.3% share and wind with two tenders and a 3.3% share.
Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in North America as tracked by GlobalData, Generation Equipment was the most popular segment in November 2019, with 50 tenders, followed by T&D Equipment (39) and Energy Storage (20).
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 77 tenders and a 68.8% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 27 tenders and a 24.1% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: six tenders and a 5.4% share
- Project Implementation: two tenders and a 1.8% share.

The top issuers of tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in North America were:
