Description
The project is currently owned by Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand with a stake of 100%.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The fuel is procured from Sinphuhorm natural gas field on the Khorat plateau.
Nam Phong Power Plant (Nam Phong Power Plant Unit I) consists of 1 steam turbine with 113MW nameplate capacity.
Nam Phong Power Plant (Nam Phong Power Plant Unit II) consists of 1 gas turbine with 113MW nameplate capacity.

Commonwealth Engineering and Construction, Ewbank Preece, IMC Industrial Group, Mitsubishi Power and Thai Jurong Engineering were selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.

Nam Phong Power Plant (Nam Phong Power Plant Unit II) is equipped with Mitsubishi Power M701D gas turbines.
