The Mymensingh Dual Fuel Power Plant is 420MW dual-fuel fired power project. It is planned in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2021 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2023.

Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Rural Power.
It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant that will be used for Baseload. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant will run on High Speed Diesel. The fuel will be procured from Petrobangla.
The project cost is expected to be around $400m.
