The project is currently owned by VERBUND Hydro Power with a stake of 100%.
Melk is a run-of-river project. The gross head and net head of the project are 9.6m and 8.2m respectively. The project generated 1,221.6 GWh of electricity.

Contractors Involved
The turbines for the hydro power project have been supplied by Andritz Hydro and Voith Hydro Holding.
Andritz Hydro supplied 9 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 23 MVA.
