Description

The project was developed by EDF Renewables Canada, Hydromega Services and Renewable Energy Services. Enbridge Income Fund Holdings and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.

The project generates 500,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 31,677 households. The project cost is $329.607m.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in January 2013.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Hydro-Quebec under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years, starting from 2013.

Contractors Involved

Construction Energie Renouvelable was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.

Massif du Sud (Massif du Sud I) is equipped with Senvion MM82 turbines. The phase consists of 31 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Massif du Sud (Massif du Sud II) is equipped with Senvion MM92 turbines. The phase consists of 44 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.

EDF Renewable Services is the O&M contractor for the wind power project, commencing from the year 2013.
