Madyan is a 157MW hydro power project. It is planned on Swat river/basin in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2022.

Description

The project is currently owned by Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization.

Madyan is a run-of-river project. The gross head and net head of the project will be 154.4m and 138.2m respectively. The project is expected to generate 767.59 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $498.64m.

The hydro power project consists of 3 units of francis turbines.

Development Status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2022.
