The project is being developed and currently owned by Longview Energy Exchange.
Longview Pumped Storage is a pumped storage project. The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 21.585 million cubic meter. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, is expected to be 3 in number. The penstock diameter will be 3.81m. The project is expected to generate 35,040 GWh of electricity.
Longview Pumped Storage (Longview UR-A) consists of 3 units of pump turbines with 333MW nameplate capacity.
Longview Pumped Storage (Longview UR-B) consists of 3 units of pump turbines with 333MW nameplate capacity.
