Kyaka – Masaka Line is a 400kV overhead line with a length of 30km from Kyaka, Kagera, Tanzania, to Masaka, Uganda border, Masaka, Tanzania.

The project, which is currently in the planning stage, is expected to be commissioned in 2025.

Description

Kyaka – Masaka Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Tanzania Electric Supply. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through single circuit cable.

Approximately $12.45m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.

Tanzania Electric Supply Co Ltd (TANESCO), formerly Tanganyika Electric Supply Co Ltd, is a government owned integrated power company.
