Kpong is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 1.4 million cubic meter. Kpong underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2014-2020.

It produces power from solar, hydro, light crude oil, distillate fuel oil and heavy fuel oil sources.
