The project, which is currently under construction, is expected to be commissioned in 2021.

Description
Kisada – Madaba Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Tanzania Electric Supply. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.
Approximately $90m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.
The development of the Kisada – Madaba Line project has been approved by the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority.

Tanzania Electric Supply Co Ltd (TANESCO), formerly Tanganyika Electric Supply Co Ltd, is a government owned integrated power company.
