Khoksar is a 90MW hydro power project. It is planned on Chandra/Khoksar river/basin in Himachal Pradesh, India. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2023 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2025.

Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by DCM Shriram Infrastructure.

Khoksar is a run-of-river project. The gross head and net head of the project will be 119.65m and 99m respectively. The project is expected to generate 351.91 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $82.078m.

The hydro power project consists of 3 turbines, each with 30MW nameplate capacity.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2023. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2025.
