The Kerawalapitiya LNG Power Project II is 300MW gas fired power project. It is planned in Western, Sri Lanka. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2021 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2023.

Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by Lakdhanavi.

It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant.

The project cost is expected to be around $282.814m.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Ceylon Electricity Board under a power purchase agreement.
