The power generated from the Hitra (Hitra II) is sold to Norsk Hydro under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years, starting from 2019.
Contractors Involved
Vestas Wind Systems was selected to render EPC services for the Hitra (Hitra II).
Hitra (Hitra I) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy B82/2300 turbines. The phase consists of 24 turbines with 2.3MW nameplate capacity.
Hitra (Hitra II) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V117-3.45 MW turbines. The phase consists of 26 turbines with 3.6MW nameplate capacity.
Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the Hitra (Hitra II). The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2019, for a period of 22 years.
