Description

The project was developed by Goodwell Wind Project. Gulf Plains Wind and Enel Green Power North America are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 80% and 20% respectively.

The project generates 860,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 73,000 households, offsetting 450,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $310m.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in December 2015.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Public Service Company of Oklahoma under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years from 2015. The contracted capacity is 200MW.

Contractors Involved

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 100 units of V110-2.0 MW turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.
