The project is currently owned by Karnataka Power.
The hydro reservoir capacity is 130.891 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 47.5m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 4 in number. The penstock diameter is 5.6m. The project generated 338.5 GWh of electricity.

Bharat Heavy Electricals was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 units of francis turbines, each with 60MW nameplate capacity.
