Description
The project is currently owned by Ethiopian Electric Power.
The hydro reservoir capacity is 406 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 594m. The penstock diameter is 2.1m. The project generated 760 GWh of electricity.
Finchaa (Finchaa Phase II) consists of 1 unit of pelton turbine with 34MW nameplate capacity.

Contractors Involved
Finchaa (Finchaa Phase I) is equipped with Andritz Hydro pelton turbines. The phase consists of 3 turbines with 33.3MW nameplate capacity.
Norsk Elektrisk & Brown Boveri supplied 3 electric generators for the Finchaa (Finchaa Phase I). The generator capacity is 35 MVA.
