The proportion of solar technology contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Power Purchase Agreement with eight contracts and a 36.4% share
- Project Implementation: six contracts and a 27.3% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: three contracts and a 13.6% share
- Supply & Erection: three contracts and a 13.6% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: one contract and a 4.5% share
- Electricity Supply: one contract and a 4.5% share.
Spain tops Europe solar power contracts activity
Spain was the top country in the Europe region for solar technology contracts recorded in January 2020 with eight contracts and a 36.4% share, followed by Germany with four contracts and an 18.2% share and Italy with two contracts and a 9.1% share.

The top issuers of contracts for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:
