Generation Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q4 2020 with 125 contracts and a 29.1% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 85 contracts and a 19.8% share and Power Plant with 77 contracts and a 17.9% share during the quarter.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 47 contracts and an 87% share
- Project Implementation: five contracts and a 9.3% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: one contract and a 1.9% share
- Electricity Supply: one contract and a 1.9% share.
Wind is top technology for Europe smart grid contracts in Q4 2020
Looking at smart grid contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, wind accounted for 13 contracts with an 81.3% share, followed by solar with three contracts and an 18.8% share.
