Looking at renewable energy auctions by country, France held the top position with 48 auctions and a share of 94.1% during H2 2021, followed by Ireland with one auction and a share of 2% and Portugal with one auction and a share of 2%.

Solar is top technology area for renewable energy auctions in H2 2021

Looking at renewable energy auctions divided by the type of technology in Europe, Solar accounted for the largest proportion with 40 auctions and a 51.9% share, followed by Wind with 31 auctions and a 40.3% share and Hydro with five auctions and a 6.5% share.
