Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q1 2020 with 131 contracts and a 36.6% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 84 contracts and a 23.5% share and Electricity Procurement with 43 contracts and a 12% share during the quarter.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 114 contracts and an 87% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: 11 contracts and an 8.4% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: five contracts and a 3.8% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: one contract and a 0.8% share.
Solar is top technology for Europe power plant contracts in Q1 2020
Looking at power plant contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, solar accounted for 75 contracts with a 57.3% share, followed by wind with 38 contracts and a 29% share and nuclear with eight contracts and a 6.1% share.

The top issuers of power plant contracts for the quarter in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:
