Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q4 2021 with 161 contracts and a 33.5% share, followed by Electricity Procurement with 151 contracts and a 31.5% share and Generation Equipment with 102 contracts and a 21.3% share during the quarter.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 90 contracts and a 59.6% share
  2. Power Purchase Agreement: 59 contracts and a 39.1% share

The top issuers of electricity procurement contracts for the quarter in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:

  1. Ministry for the Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (Spain): 3,113.1MW from 90 contracts
  2. EDF (United States): 1,400MW from one contract
  3. Amazon Web Services (United States): 944MW capacity from five contracts.
