Daguangba is a 240MW hydro power project. It is located on Changhua river/basin in Hainan, China. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 1990 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1993.

Description

The hydro reservoir capacity is 1,700 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project is 55m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 4 in number. The project generated 504 GWh of electricity.

China National Corporation For Overseas Economic Cooperation was selected to render EPC services for the hydro power project.

Dongfang Electric was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 units of francis turbines, each with 60.5MW nameplate capacity.
