The project is being developed and currently owned by SIMEC Energy Australia and ZEN Energy. The company’s ownership stake in the project stands as 50.1% and 49.9% respectively.
Cultana Solar PV Farm is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 1,100 hectares.
The project is expected to generate 600,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 100,000 households. The project is expected to offset 492,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $242.9m.
