The project is currently owned by Iberdrola Generacion Espana SAU with a stake of 100%.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel. The fuel is procured from Enagas S.A..
The project cost is $803.751m.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 2 units of 9F.05 gas turbines.
