Description

The project is developed and owned by Gansu Diantou Bingling Hydropower Development.

Bingling is a run-of-river project. The gross head of the project is 16.1m. The project generated 954.088 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $251.801m.

The project construction commenced in 2005 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2008.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Northwest Power Grid under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

Harbin Electric Machinery was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 5 units of bulb propeller turbines, each with 48MW nameplate capacity.

Harbin Electric Machinery supplied electric generator(s) for the project.
