The project was developed by Blue Energy and is currently owned by Octopus Investments.
The project supplies enough clean energy to power 27,000 households, offsetting 130,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Beinneun Wind Farm (Beinneun Wind Farm Phase 1) is equipped with Senvion 3.4M104 turbines. The phase consists of 10 turbines with 3.4MW nameplate capacity.
Beinneun Wind Farm (Beinneun Wind Farm Phase II) is equipped with Senvion 3.4M114 turbines. The phase consists of 22 turbines with 3.4MW nameplate capacity.
Senvion is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 20 years.
