Description

The project is currently owned by Brookfield Renewable Partners with a stake of 100%.

The net head of the project is 55m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 2 in number. The penstock length is 109.7m. The penstock diameter is 7.7m. The project generated 170.61 GWh of electricity.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Ontario Power Authority under a power purchase agreement from 2009. The contracted capacity is 162MW.

Andritz Hydro was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of francis turbines.

Andritz Hydro supplied 2 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 68.5 MVA.
