Description

The project is currently owned by New Athens Generating with a stake of 100%.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Iroquois Zone 2 Pipeline.

The project generated 2,387,037MWh of electricity.

Contractors Involved

Siemens was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 3 units of SGT6-6000G gas turbines, each with 265MW nameplate capacity.
