Asia-Pacific power industry tenders in November 2020: India leads activity
Looking at tenders by country, India led the activity in November 2020 with 205 tenders and a share of 58.9%, down 6.3% over the previous month and down 28% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by the Philippines with 61 tenders and a share of 17.5% and Pakistan with 22 tenders and a share of 6.3% during the month.
Looking at the last 12-month average, India held the top spot with 286 tenders, followed by the Philippines with 53 and Bangladesh with 50 tenders.

Solar is top technology area for tenders in November 2020
Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, solar accounted for the largest proportion with 59 tenders and a 51.3% share, followed by thermal with 47 tenders and a 40.9% share and hydro with seven tenders and a 6.1% share.
Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in Asia-Pacific as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Equipment was the most popular segment in November 2020, with 142 tenders, followed by T&D Project (105) and Power Plant (59).
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 158 tenders and a 45.4% share
- Project Implementation: 114 tenders and a 32.8% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 66 tenders and a 19% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: ten tenders and a 2.9% share.
