Generation Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in November 2020 with 25 contracts and a 34.2% share, followed by Power Plant with 24 contracts and a 32.9% share and T&D Project with eight contracts and an 11% share during the month.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 21 contracts and an 84% share
- Project Implementation: three contracts and a 12% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: one contract and a 4% share.
Solar is top technology for Asia-Pacific generation equipment contracts in November 2020
Looking at generation equipment contracts by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, solar accounted for nine contracts with a 36% share, followed by thermal with eight contracts and a 32% share and wind with four contracts and a 16% share.
