T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in Q4 2019 with 991 tenders and a 53.3% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 335 tenders and an 18% share and Generation Equipment with 277 tenders and a 14.9% share during the quarter.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Power Purchase Agreement: ten tenders and a 43.5% share
- Electricity Supply: seven tenders and a 30.4% share
- Project Implementation: six tenders and a 26.1% share.

Looking at electricity procurement tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, solar accounted for 13 tenders with a 56.5% share, followed by thermal with five tenders and a 21.7% share and wind with three tenders and a 13% share.

Asia-Pacific electricity procurement tenders in Q4 2019: Top companies by capacity
The top issuers of electricity procurement tenders for the quarter in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:
- Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution (India): 550MW from two tenders
- Solar Energy Corporation of India (India): 400MW from one tender
- Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency (India): 250MW capacity from one tender.
