Australia-based company Water’s IT hiring declined 3.8% in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 10.19% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 10.34% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2022, and recorded a 2.9% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Water IT hiring in May 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Water, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 83.33% in May 2022, and a 44.44% drop over April 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 8.33% in May 2022, and registered a decline of 75%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 8.33% in May 2022, a flat growth from April 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at Water

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global power IT hiring activity in May 2022 with a 50% share, which marked a 25% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 33.33%, registering a 69.23% month-on-month decline. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 16.67% share and a 75% drop over April 2022.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s power industry IT hiring activity with a 33.33% share in May 2022, a 66.67% decline over April 2022. The UK featured next with a 33.33% share, down 20% over the previous month. Romania recorded a 16.67% share, an increase of 100% compared with April 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Water IT hiring activity in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.33%, down by 63.16% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 33.33% share, a flat growth compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.33% share, down 83.33% over April 2022.
