The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 1.03% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 9.65% share in September 2021, recording an increase of 0.38% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 8% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s power industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
National Grid posted 21 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a rise of 50% over the previous month, followed by SSE with 14 jobs and a 26.32% drop. Iberdrola with 7 IT jobs and Elektro Eletricidade E Servicos with 6 jobs, recorded a 75% flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Centrica recorded a decline of 14.29% with 6 job postings during September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.12%, down by 3.45% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.6% share, registered a decline of 15.79% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 16.28% share, up 55.56% over August 2021.
