The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.77% share in May 2022, recording an increase of 0.01% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Switzerland’s power industry’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s power industry in May 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 58.33% in May 2022, registering a 46.15% decline over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 25% share, an increase of 200% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 16.67%, registering a flat growth from April 2022.

Top five power companies in Switzerland’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 29.41% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s power industry during May 2022 over April 2022.

BKW posted 5 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a rise of 400% over the previous month, followed by Axpo with 4 jobs and a 66.67% drop. Siemens with 1 IT job and Engie with 1 jobs, recorded a 50% decline and a 50% decrease, respectively, while Sauber Motorsport recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during May 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 83.33%, down by 37.5% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with an 8.33% share, registered a decline of 50% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.33% share, flat growth over April 2022.
