IT jobs accounted for a 3.75% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2022, registering a decrease of 0.68% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in November 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 35.48% in November 2022, a 50% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 29.03% in November 2022, marking a 10% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 19.35% in November 2022, a 14.29% drop from October 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 13.64% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s power industry during November 2022 over previous month.
Raizen posted 12 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Siemens with 6 jobs and a 40% drop. CPFL Energia with 3 IT jobs and Colbun with 2 jobs, recorded a 50% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while Endesa recorded a 75% decline with 2 job postings during November 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s power industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s power industry IT hiring activity with an 80.65% share in November 2022, a 24.24% decrease over October 2022. Chile featured next with a 12.9% share, down 33.33% over the previous month. Panama recorded a 3.23% share, a flat growth compared with October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.65%, down by 30.56% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 12.9% share, registered a decline of 55.56% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.45% share, down 71.43% over October 2022.
