November 2022 has seen a decrease of 9.06% in the overall hiring activity when compared with October 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 9% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2022, registering a decrease of 0.47% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in November 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 41.34% in November 2022, a 36.27% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 27.66% in November 2022, marking an 11.22% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 12.08% in November 2022, a 32.14% drop from October 2022.

Top five power companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 14.47% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s power industry during November 2022 over previous month.
Siemens posted 148 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a decline of 3.27% over the previous month, followed by Umicore with 63 jobs and a 47.93% drop. Electricite de France with 49 IT jobs and Nordex with 41 jobs, recorded an 880% rise and a 24.07% drop, respectively, while E.ON recorded a 44.44% decline with 30 job postings during November 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s power industry
Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s power industry IT hiring activity with a 28.3% share in November 2022, a 6.81% decrease over October 2022. The UK featured next with a 14.79% share, down 38% over the previous month. Belgium recorded an 11.45% share, a drop of 40.98% compared with October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.48%, down by 31.07% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with an 18.76% share, registered a growth of 4.42% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.45% share, down 35.71% over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.32%, recording a month-on-month decline of 60%.
