Italy-based company Enel’s IT hiring declined 13.9% in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 7.21% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 12.45% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2022, and recorded a 0.41% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Enel IT hiring in October 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Enel, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 61.54% in October 2022, and a 17.24% drop over September 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 15.38% in October 2022, and registered a decline of 25%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 10.26% in October 2022, a 63.64% drop from September 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at Enel

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global power IT hiring activity in October 2022 with a 61.54% share, which marked a 36.84% drop over the previous month.

South & Central America stood next with 28.21%, registering a 22.22% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 7.69% share and a 57.14% drop over September 2022.

In the fourth place was Asia-Pacific with a share of 2.56% and a month-on-month decline of 50%.

Spain commanded a leading presence in the region’s power industry IT hiring activity with a 41.03% share in October 2022, a 27.27% decline over September 2022. Italy featured next with a 20.51% share, down 20% over the previous month. Brazil recorded a 15.38% share, an increase of 100% compared with September 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Enel IT hiring activity in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.1%, down by 34.21% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.08% share, a decline of 18.18% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 12.82% share, down 28.57% over September 2022.
