The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 13.78% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.
Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.44% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 0.09% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 27.55% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s power industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
Algonquin Power & Utilities posted 26 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 16.13% over the previous month, followed by Stem with 24 jobs and a 36.84% drop. eQ-3 with 9 IT jobs and Peak Power with 7 jobs, recorded a 12.5% growth and a 46.15% decrease, respectively, while Siemens recorded a decline of 37.5% with 5 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.85%, down by 32.14% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 14.89% share, registered a decline of 33.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 4.26% share, down 20% over October 2022.
