The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 34.95% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.
Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.76% share in February 2022, recording an increase of 1.59% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 54.55% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Belgium’s power industry during February 2022 over January 2022.
Umicore posted 49 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a drop of 57.39% over the previous month, followed by Element Labs with 4 jobs and a 76.47% drop. Elia Group with 4 IT jobs and Schneider Electric with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Eastman recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during February 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.67%, down by 57.58% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.46% share, registered a decline of 42.11% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 14.29% share, down 60.87% over January 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.59%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
