Start Up Energy Transition – Award and Tech Festival
24 March 2020, Berlin – Germany
Hosted by energy transition platform Start Up Energy Transition (SET), the tech festival gathers a “global network of innovators shaping the future of energy”, giving participants the possibility to get in touch with renewable energy organisations and investors.
The festival, organised in collaboration with the World Energy Council, was cancelled to the spread of Covid-19 coronavirus.
SolarPower Summit 2020
25 March 2020, Brussels – Belgium
The summit, which is SolarPower’s annual event, brings together solar industry representatives and EU representatives. This year’s conference, which was postponed until 29 September, will focus on the European Green Deal, which was presented by the European Commission in December 2019.

5-7 May 2020, Las Vegas – US
Attended by large numbers of international and US executives, decision-makers and experts, the conference focuses the industry’s vision for used fuel and decommissioning.
Participants can test the latest products and services in terms of used fuel disposal, storage and transportation. The conference was cancelled due to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.
European Commission’s Electricity Regulatory Forum
7-8 May 2020, Florence – Italy
Also known as the Florence Forum, the Electricity Regulatory Forum was cancelled due to Italy’s current coronavirus situation. This year’s focus was the cross-border trade of electricity and how electricity markets should organise to meet 2050 zero-net carbon emissions targets.
IAEA International Conference on Operational Safety of Nuclear Power Plants
11-15 May 2020, Beijing – China
The conference’s objective is fostering information exchanges between operators of nuclear plants regarding safety during commissioning, start-up and long-term operations. Participants include – amongst others – nuclear power plant operators, regulators and technical support organisations.
The Beijing conference was postponed indefinitely.
Nuclear Energy Assembly
20-22 May 2020, Washington DC – US
Participants in the Nuclear Energy Assembly include international nuclear industry executives, sector professionals and supply chain representatives.
The conference aims to foster networking opportunities and insights between people working in the nuclear industry.
RE-Source UK
London – UK
RE-Source UK brings together energy suppliers and buyers to discuss the growth of clean energy in the UK’s tertiary sector. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the conference has been postponed until September 2020.

Global Offshore Wind 2020
Manchester – UK
With 4,500 attendees coming from around the world and 160 exhibitors, the Global Offshore Wind event is the world’s largest offshore wind market.
The conference, whose focus this year is the transition to net-zero CO2 emissions, was postponed to 27-28 October 2020.
