Europe was the fastest growing region for cybersecurity hiring among power industry companies in the three months ending September.
The number of roles in Europe made up 34.5 per cent of total cybersecurity jobs – up from 25.5 per cent in the same quarter last year.
That was followed by North America, which saw a 2.3 year-on-year percentage point change in cybersecurity roles.
The figures are compiled by GlobalData, who track the number of new job postings from key companies in various sectors over time. Using textual analysis, these job advertisements are then classified thematically.

Which countries are seeing the most growth for cybersecurity roles in the power industry?
The fastest growing country was Poland, which saw 4.5 per cent of all cybersecurity job adverts in the three months ending June last year, increasing to 10.3 per cent in the three months ending September this year.
That was followed by the United Kingdom (up 2.2 percentage points), the United States (up 1.8), and Switzerland (up 1.5).
The top country for cybersecurity roles in the power industry is the United States which saw 33.9 per cent of all roles in the three months ending September.
Which cities are the biggest hubs for cybersecurity workers in the power industry?
Some 2.8 per cent of all power industry cybersecurity roles were advertised in Baden (Switzerland) in the three months ending September - more than any other city.
That was followed by Miami (United States) with 2.8 per cent, Atlanta (United States) with two per cent, and Milan (Italy) with 1.7 per cent.
