Europe extentended its dominance for Artificial Intelligence (AI) hiring among power industry companies in the three months ending September.
The number of roles in Europe made up 34.8 per cent of total AI jobs – up from 18.7 per cent in the same quarter last year.
That was followed by Asia-Pacific, which saw a -6.4 year-on-year percentage point change in AI roles.
The figures are compiled by GlobalData, who track the number of new job postings from key companies in various sectors over time. Using textual analysis, these job advertisements are then classified thematically.

Which countries are seeing the most growth for AI roles in power?
The fastest growing country was Italy, which saw 3.3 per cent of all AI job adverts in the three months ending June last year, increasing to 8.7 per cent in the three months ending September this year.
That was followed by the United Kingdom (up 2.3 percentage points), Finland (up 0.7), and Portugal (up -1.6).
The top country for AI roles in the power industry is the United States which saw 29.2 per cent of all roles in the three months ending September.
Which cities are the biggest hubs for AI workers in power?
Some 3.6 per cent of all power industry AI roles were advertised in Pune (India) in the three months ending September - more than any other city.
That was followed by Iasi (Romania) with 3.6 per cent, Pittsburgh (United States) with 2.3 per cent, and Atlanta (United States) with 2.1 per cent.
