Description

The project is being developed by Quadran Burkina Faso. Mihia Holding and Syscom Network are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 70% and 30% respectively.

Zano Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project.

The project is expected to generate 48,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 75,000 households. The project is expected to offset 25,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The solar power project consists of 54,500 modules.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2024. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2025.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Societe Nationale d'electricite du Burkina under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.084kWh for a period of 25 years. The capacity to be procured is 15MW.

Contractors involved

Elsewedy Electric T&D is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Qair Group is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the solar PV power project for a period of 2 years.
