Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by SwifterwinT and Vattenfall. The owners have 50% stake in the project respectively.
The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 450,000 households, to offset 700,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by November 2022.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the Windplan Blauw-Repowered (WindplanBlauw Phase I) will be sold to Eneco Holding under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years, starting from 2022.
Contractors involved
Vestas Wind Systems is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the Windplan Blauw-Repowered (WindplanBlauw Phase I).
Windplan Blauw-Repowered (WindplanBlauw Phase I) will be equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V162-5.6 MW turbines. The phase consists of 37 turbines with 5.6MW nameplate capacity.
Windplan Blauw-Repowered (WindplanBlauw Phase IIA) will be equipped with GE Renewable Energy Cypress turbines. The phase consists of 11 turbines with 5.5MW nameplate capacity.
Windplan Blauw-Repowered (WindplanBlauw Phase IIB) will be equipped with GE Renewable Energy Cypress turbines. The phase consists of 13 turbines with 5.5MW nameplate capacity.
GE Renewable Energy and Vestas Wind Systems are expected to be contracted for rendering of operations & maintenance services for the project.
The rotor blades are likely to be supplied by LM Wind Power Holding. The blade length is expected to be 158.000m.
