The project generates 130GWh electricity thereby offsetting 100,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The process of combustion has been adopted in this project to release the stored energy from the feed. Forest residue which is a kind of agricultural by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.
Contractors involved
Gestamp Biomass supplied steam boiler for the project. The boiler installed at the site has a capacity of 49.7TPH. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 488°C. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 81bar.
Gestamp Biomass is the O&M contractor for the project.
