Description

The project was developed by Origis Energy and is currently owned by DE Shaw Renewable Investments.

Sumrall II Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 600 acres.

The project generates 130GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 8,000 households, offsetting 54,672t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in June 2017.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Mississippi Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.

Contractors involved

Depcom Power was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Hanwha Q Cells was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 220,000 modules at the site.

The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by NEXTracker.

Depcom Power is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
