Description

The project was developed by Chudenko and Toyo Engineering. Chudenko, GE Energy Financial Services, Kuni Umi Asset Management and Toyo Engineering are currently owning the project.

Setouchi Kirei Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 265 hectares.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 80,000 households, offsetting 192,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in October 2018.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to The Chugoku Electric Power under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.351kWh for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 186MW.

Contractors involved

Shimizu and Toyo Engineering were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

The solar PV modules for the project were supplied by Trina Solar and Yingli Green Energy Holding.

Solar inverters for the project were procured from GE Power and Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems.

Chudenko is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
