The project was developed by Eolia Renovables de Inversiones SCR and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. The project is co-owned by EDF Renewables and MIT Renewables Mexico, S.A.P.I. de, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 97,155 households.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2014, for a period of 15 years.
